Statement of Principles and Objectives | Tea Party Movement 2009
As passion builds for the freedom movement, Tea Party organizers have popped up all over the internet. There are Tea Parties on a variety of dates, organized by a number of different individuals and organizations, spreading passion throughout our communities. Yet, in order to make this movement the success that it should and will be, we must combine and coordinate our efforts. After launching www.ReTeaParty.com just hours after our young web team was inspired by the infamous “rant”, thousands of comments and e-mails in support of the Chicago July 4th Tea Party flooded our inbox.
Since that time, we have been excited and pleased with the level of optimism, desire, and understanding of the real problems that face this country. During that time, other organizations and individuals have set up their own Tea Parties and events. A few more well funded and established organizations have even run with our original idea to send Washington D.C. a Tea Bag on April 1st, to protest the foolishness of D.C. policy making and are planning another nationwide Tea Party on Tax Day, April 15th, 2009. We are supportive of their efforts and are organizing our plans to participate as individuals in their event.
The activities of everyone organizing Tea Party events are all promising to the future of freedom and supported by ReTeaParty.com, so long as the people involved are in it for the right reasons. We have and will continue to reach out to other organizations, some being more willing than others to coordinate efforts, with the common understanding that this movement is much larger than a protest against Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, and the like, and we recognize that the slow destruction of our Constitution and our inalienable rights to self-responsibility, property, and the fruits of our labor has occurred over many administrations and been propelled by members on both sides of the party line.
ReTeaParty.com is supported and funded by a relatively small group of individuals that were forced to file the paperwork as a PAC due to the Federal restrictions on the freedom of speech. We are not well funded. We do not have a desire to be “political players”. Our sole goal is to unite the enthusiasm and passion that is growing all over the country so that we are all aware of each others’ activities and to most effectively protest and publicize all our sentiments on a well coordinated scale.
As for this website, we will remain optimistic and in support of everyone’s Tea Parties, as we believe there is a common goal amongst all our efforts to restore faith in the American people, and reinvigorate the (small “r”) republican and decentralized ideals set forth in the Constitution of the United States.
To aid fellow patriots, ReTeaParty.com has provided a map and a forum to coordinate and link to all of those interested in organizing their own events. We encourage people to set up MeetUp groups, to help reach out to the community and find local volunteers. We recommend that organizers provide their local Tea Partiers with media contact information, to inform the public of our activities. We advocate that those supporting local Tea Parties sell merchandise, pass out bumper stickers and fliers, go to colleges and churches, and reach out a hand to all of those who may be choosing silence in the face of opposition, because it is comfortable and safe. Let them know that they have support, that we are all in this together, and that freedom requires vigilance.
So, as we support other Tea Party organizations that are promoting events on earlier dates, we suggest that everyone continues in their own capacity to organize their communities, to reach out to others in common pursuit, and to never lose focus of the non-partisan and underlying principles of individual rights, action, and determination, that put America on the map as the envy of the world.
Together, let’s re-Declare our Independence this July 4th.

Chad,
I saw you on the Fox News Channel today speaking about the tea parties. I had heard about them and was interested in finding more information on them but didn’t know where to go. And then I saw you on TV. I just wanted to let you know that my husband and I agree with what you are doing. In fact you can visit our ebay store at: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Bruces-Novelties to see our grass-roots effort against Obama and what he is wrongfully doing to us and our Country. We have to get the word out about our product so the tea party members can take them to their Tea Parties. Most of the American People know what’s going on and we all seem to be seeking the same end results. With all the different conservative movements happening around the country I know we will all come together against Obama and his socialist party to stop them from destroying one of God’s greatest gifts, our Freedom. If Obama continues down this path, we will not live to see our country as it has been throughout our lifetime. We have faith in God that He will take care of all His people no matter what happens. This was His promise to us.
