Treasury Secretary open to ousting more CEOs
In an interview with Katie Couric, Geithner stated, “We have managed management aboard, and where we’ve done that, we’ve done it because we thought that was necessary to make sure these institutions emerge stronger in the future.” When asked if he would leave open the option to pressure a bank CEO to resign, Geithner replied, “Of course.”
Lately, several pundits have defined fascism in the following ways: government run capitalism, strict government oversight with the illusion of free market capitalism
Based on recent government actions and Geithner’s public statements, it is now obvious that the US has abandoned free market capitalism and adopted economic fascism.

Dumbasses. It would be fascist if all industries were completely nationalized and run by such dictates. Are you saying that as the primary stakeholder via bailout money, that the U.S. Taxpayer via it's elected government should have no say in the workings of institutions that would otherwise be failures if not for U.S. stimulus actions? Seriously?

First of all, that's “Mister” dumbass to you.
The bailouts and the goverment control are one and the same. When we allow bailouts, then we are allowing government control because that is the next step. They go together.
You say that these institutions would be failures without government acting to save them. These institutions ARE failures. That's why government is acting to save them. You say “failure” like it's a bad thing. The money that is being extracted from the private sector in order to prop up these nonproductive industries is money that could otherwise have been invested in productive industries. We will now temporarily preserve less-productive jobs at the expence of productive job creation. These resources being used by these failing companies ought to be liquidated and bought by healthy companies who will better utilize them.
You're correct that not all industries are completely nationalized and run by government fiat. However, things are never static. We are always in the midst of a progression, and so the question is in what direction are we progressing? Certainly, we're moving towards fascism. Is this somehow not obvious?

“Mr.” jackassmercurius, if things were so certain this movement would be tea bagging itself with more than sub 8800 members. I mean since the Santelli “action” this group has yet to get OVER 9000!!!!
Face it, the American people just don't want raw capitalism as you outline what should “naturally” happen. They want government intervention, but no one but a tea-stained loon sees this as “certainly” moving toward fascism.
