Bio

I am a married 65 year old woman along with her husband who wants our basic freedoms back. We are a combined family of 8 children and 16 grandchildren. I feel there should be term limits & fair taxes for all. We are all equal under the law and should be treated as such. The Constitution rules!

I am currently the Events Coordinator for Peg Dunmire for Congress Florida 8th Congressional District.

Why I'm a Tea Partier

To try and get the attention of the people in Washington, D.C. who claim to know what is good for our welfare. They do not know what we need nor do they care. They just want to tell us what they think our welfare is. Clean the “White House” and stop letting the senators and congressmen think those are their life long jobs especially when they do not know what they are doing. In the process we will take care of their ridiculous pensions and retirement packages. It must be fun to spend other peoples money. It is time to clean every house not just Washington - check your senators and congressmen voting records - that tells it all.

Politics

Political Party/Tendencies

I am a registered Republican, but I consider myself a conservative. Too many things have changed in the country for the good of a few and forget the many.

I really am torn about our Congressman - he really is a good man and his voting record id great, but if you believe in term limits like I do - well he has been in congress since 1993.

My goal in working on the 2 campaigns that I am is to remove “self-serving” congressional representatives - Alan Grayson and Corrine Brown.

  • Here it is ladies and gentlemen - another video to show the antics Pelosi and her cronies are going through to get this waste of paper the health care bill is typed on passed. Our kindergarten kids could make better use of all the paper being used to print this bill. They just never stop.

  • Well guys I just want to make sure you get to see this since the news media chose to ignore it yesterday. If you were fortunate enough to be able to go to Washington for the March on September 12 like I was and even if you wish you could have, this is for you and the rest of America.

  • I keep telling you, you canot make this stuff up.

During his speech at a National Press Club luncheon, House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.), questioned the point of lawmakers reading the health care bill.

“I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill,’” said Conyers.

“What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?”

  • It seems like something has changed in regard to my receiving the postings since I got back from vacation or else everyone has gone on vacation. I am not receiving any postings - maybe I need to change something?

Today I got a letter from Social Security asking me how much money I made in 2007 and they wanted it broken down by daily and hourly. Now I do not know about you, but I have a hard time remembering what I had for breakfast let alone the hours I worked on what day and did I exceed my limit of earnings according to the SSA. Here is my response:

    Attention: Michael S. Astrue, Commissioner

    Commissioner Astrue:

Today I received in the mail a request for me to tell you “AGAIN” how much money I made in 2007. You should have been forwarded this information by the Internal Revenue Service after the filing of our 2007 taxes in March, 2008 and previous to that, you would have received that information when my employer filed his W-2/W-3 report to you in January 2008 of which I mailed to you myself from the office. The most I will tell you is that I only worked part-time for 7 months and certainly did not go over your lousy $12,960.00. I am not going to sit down and fill out this stupid paper work which is a waste of my time and taxpayers money.

That brings me to my second comment. Along with this 3 page request, the 3rd page had a “Paperwork Reduction Act Statement attached. What a joke! You ask me to fill out the paperwork, then you state if there is no valid “Office of Management and Budget control number” (which there isn’t) I don’t have to do anything! Then you tell me it will take me approximately 10 minutes to complete your questions – how do you know that? Do you know where my previous tax returns are filed or what I have to go through to get the information out?
This whole thing is nothing but “JOB JUSTIFICATION” and let me see how I can waste more money.

If you need to justify your job, how about looking for all of those IOU’s congress has written over the years for the money they have “stolen” from the Social Security Fund “that was paid in by the “working” people of this country and their “employers” and write up an amendment to the Stimulus Bill to pay Social Security back? Now that would be a noteworthy task. I am sure however, that job security would prevent you from undertaking such a task. Oh, I forgot – the Social Security fund is broke because Americans are living longer because we have the “best” healthcare in the world and we have bankrupted the fund.

And finally Commissioner, since I see you took this position as of February 12, 2007, I can hold you personally responsible for this waste of money, my time and the fact your staff did not request this information from the IRS. And why the heck do you need to know how much I made each month or each hour? You expect me to remember how many hours I worked each day 2 years ago? Even the IRS doesn’t ask that.

You know, you can’t make this stuff up!!!!!!!!!

    Sincerely,

    Diane M. Kepus

  • Good Morning,

According to Neil Boortz this was last weeks action against our freedom:

Last week we got some news about the federal Franking Commission. Basically this is a Congressional entity that regulates official Congressional mailings. The news from last week was that the Franking Commission was blocking the Republicans from sending a flier about the Democrats’ healthcare plan. That was bad enough. But this could possibly be even worse.

Rep. John Carter, a Republican from Texas, says that the Franking Commission is censuring the messages that Congressmen are allowed to send to their constituents. In this case, the Republicans wanted to use the phrase ”government run health care” in order to describe the Democrat healthcare plan. But the Franking Commission took a look at this and said, ”No way.” They aren’t dumb. They know that the people of this country have a growing mistrust in the government so any attempts to link more government to this healthcare plan could be bad news for the Democrats. So the solution is for the Franking Commission to change the language to something a bit more appropriate. Rather than ”government run health care” you must use ”public option health care plan.”

Today comes news that said Franking Commission will not be allowing Republicans to refer to the Obama/Democrat plans for a government-run health care plan as a government-run health care plan. Instead, they must use the Democrat euphemism for their government-run health care plan.

Did you get that? Let’s keep the whole ”government” thing to a minimum and push the false notion that the great unwashed will have ”options” under this plan! Looks like someone in the Franking Commission is sticking pretty darn close to the Democrat talking points.

There has to be some way to stop this and the people telling me they do not have the time to keep up with these things are driving me crazy! Maybe when the world around them looks like Russia, they will wish they had followed what was going on, but they will not be given the opportunity.
