Watch Out, Mr. President, Because We’re Mad As Hell!
FOXNews wrote an article which draws comparison between the 1976 film Network and Rick Santelli’s call for a Chicago Tea Party.
“I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!”
In the 1970s, that phrase was made popular by the movie “Network,” where anchor Howard Beale parodied what TV news might become. In 2009, millions of us are mad as hell –- not at TV but at politics. Americans are mad because most of us play the game the right way and if we do, we are now the ones who lose.
Ordinary Americans try to do the right thing, just like Spike Lee told us. We get up, we go to work, raise our families, obey the law and pay our debts. We are mellower versions of the Clint Eastwood character in “Gran Torino.” We just want to be left alone –- by government especially.

Guess what happened. The country is on a fast roller-coaster to the bottom while the “new Bush”, aka Barack Obama, fritters away every dollar available (and what isn’t available, is newly printed) on give-aways that make the LA riots look like a bake sale!

I felt the same way after hearing that speech. We bought our home for $45,000. 16 years ago, and have stayed in it. Yeah we could have sold it, took the equity and bought a $200,000. house but we cooled out jets and decided we’ll just sit tight and fix this one up and continue to live here. Now, I’m so glad we did. Now, because we were smart the equity has probably shrunk, thanks to others who bit off more than they could chew, and we get to bend over for something we didn’t even do. 13.The I.R.S pays them a child tax credit for their many children.
14. They drive illegally, then hit and run, so they won’t get caught.
15. They work for cash and don’t pay taxes on this money.
16. Documents are forged. They use someone else’s social security number.
17.Stores hire them when the illegal cannot understand or be understood.
18. Ask your government officials or employees, if their parents were legal.
19. Check out the DEA website.
In a few years, you will not recognize this Country. If you would save America, take action now.

I think that Americans have become spoiled and complacent. Are we now to forget the values and liberties that millions of people in this country have paid the ultimate price
for? President Obama is standing on the backs of generations of great Americans that made this country into what it is. This country was built by hard working decent Americans under
a capitalist society. Government cannot can and should not try to provide everything to its citizens.
I worked my way through school while raising a family and holding down a very demanding full time job. I receive no government loans, grants or money from my parents. Now that business is very slow I am spending time every night to improve and expand my skills so I can continue to succeed in the event that I lose my. I do not want to pay for people who refuse to do what is necessary to better themselves. I am tired of all the excuses that I hear from people who have done nothing to improve their situation. In this country you can do anything you want. It is up to you to reach your full potential! Abandoning the system that has made this country great is unthinkable.
I am furious when I hear President Obama’s demonizing everyone who has been successful in this country. I am not a rich man and well below the 250k demon class that President Obama has created. I know a few rich business owners and I know what they have gone through to get to the point that they are at. Most of them have made great sacrifices and taken on great risk to develop their business. We should praise these people for creating most of the jobs in this country. I certainly do!
This crisis was government created and further government control will only make it worse. Contrary to popular opinion this crisis was not created by the Bush administration. The seeds of this crisis go back to the Clinton administration when he sharply loosened lending requirements in the 1990s. This is a perfect example of what happens when government, meaning well, does not consider the ramifications of what they do. Alarm bells have been ringing ever since the toxic mortgages began. President Bush sounded this bell several times to deaf ears in the congress. I don’t think government is the answer!
As for the Tea Party, I think this is exactly what we need to get people to wake up and see what is happening to this great country. Tell me where and when and I will drop everything to attend.
