Time to Start Organizing!
Thank you for the overwhelming response and support thus far. The Founding Fathers would be proud of your enthusiasm and respect for self-responsibility.
We have received thousands of emails and are processing your inquiries. We are very pleased with the positive responses.
Due to the overwhelming number of e-mails, we have not been able to answer all of your questions and address all of your inquiries individually.
We encourage everyone to organize local groups to plan travel and accommodations to Los Angeles, Boston, or the main event in Chicago.
If you are interested in throwing your own local Tea Party, please send us the following information:
- City
- Name of Organizer
- Contact information for Organizer
- Website Address
- How your Party being is organized (Facebook, MeetUp, independent website, etc…)
Upon review of your group’s sincerity, we will add a link to your Tea Party from our homepage.
If you are contacting us about an interview, sponsorship, or organizing your own event, please include MEDIA, SPONSOR, or ORGANIZE when using the contact form.
Make sure you pledge on our website if you haven’t done so already and encourage fellow patriots to do the same.

We are having a tea rally this Friday in Houston. I will be attending. I am not sure if we will have one in July also.
We are (or I am) encouraging people to send tea bags to the White House on or around April 1st. They should arrive on or around tax day. In just one day I have gotten over 125 hits on my blog with 107 (so far) saying they will send bags with only one saying they will not.

I was shouting “Amen” at the TV as I watched Rick Santelli say exactly what I’ve been saying at work for weeks! Thank God someone with a microphone has spoken up for those of us that don’t. I’m tired of supporting everyone else that finds it too taxing to get up every morning and go to work or worse yet, stay home and procreate more individuals that will grow up and not work. I’ve worked since I was 15. My husband and I have worked extremely hard to put me through college and graduate school. This is America! You can be anything you want to be! But you have to work for it! Nothing worth anything is free. We live in a country where hard work use to pay off. Now I’m being told that my hard work is going to go to those breathing air a more worthy person should breath! It’s pathetic. Welfare is a form of slavery and people are lining up for it!

Knowing it will be difficult to be published in a local paper, I did a quick post under “Polotics” on Craigslist.com seeking patriotic organizers. If I get any bites, I’ll let you know. A blog sounds like a great idea too! Any other ideas out there to rally organizers? Please share!

All tea party supporters owe it to themselves to become educated on the simple, straight forward Fair Tax plan that has been introduced in the last several congresses — it will drive an unprecedented economic boom; pull huge amounts of offshore capital into our financial institutions and make the USA the world’s tax haven; and result in a massive shift of political power back to the common voter and away from the lobbyists with campaign contribution dollars and the sellout congress members that gladly sell tax break legislation to them…. See FairTax.org and become a supporter — you’ll be doing yourself, and the US of A, a big, big favor……

Clint, FairTax.org is great and I’d LOVE it to succeed, but our congress will never vote for it on either side. The lobbyists control the money and the votes in congress. End of story.

Always love a party, count me in. Transport to Chicago might be a problem though - Can’t swing NetJets anymore (THANKS OBAMA!) - and I refuse to fly commercial. If anyone has info on a good limo company in the Windy City - I’m all ears. Until the revolution, Chow babe.

This country does not listen to the people any more. Are we really governered by the people? I do not think so. with about 80% of the American Citizens wanting to get ALL illegals and their anchor babies out of our country, why hasn’t it been done? They are sucking our country dry.

Thank you Rick, for your courage. We need leaders during this time of turmoil. You have proved to be a much better leader than some of our elected representatives. We are planning to head up a Mississippi delegation to come to Dallas this July. BO and company refuse to listen to our elected representatives, both Dem and Rep (one of my Dem senators is a blue dog; he voted against Porkulus). If enough of us speak, they can’t file us in the “fringe” file and write us off. I agree with the other folks commenting, though. We have got to get our voices heard and we need to start now!

The oppostion to a dysfunctional government cannot end with a “Tea Party”. Vigilance must be eternal……
“Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty—power is ever stealing from the many to the few…. The hand entrusted with power becomes … the necessary enemy of the people. Only by continual oversight can the democrat in office be prevented from hardening into a despot: only by unintermitted Agitation (sic)can a people be kept sufficiently awake to principle not to let liberty be smothered in material prosperity.”

All the global online chatter and ongoing Tea Party “plans” have thus far utterly missed the most important aspect Mr. Santelli’s diatribe.
What exactly is the ‘derivative security’ he is proposing to ‘dump’?!?
The US Dollar? The 10-year Treasury note? An interest rate future or swap?
I can only assume that it is an option of some sort expiring July 18, 2009.
But which one and how will those on the other side of the trade (read: The Fed) be forced to respond?
‘Quantitative easing’ meet Mister Market..This could get ugly.
We’re thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July. All you capitalists that wanna show up to Lake Michigan, I’m organizing. We’re gonna be dumping in some derivative securities, what do you think about that?!?
