CEO in Chief

Do we truly comprehend the monumental nature of Obama’s announcement regarding GM & Chrysler yesterday? Our president effectively fired the CEO of GM, commanded GM to present yet another business plan, and ordered Chrysler to initiate the process of selling out to a foreign automaker.

This is a complete contradiction of free market capitalism and a gross affront to the Constitution. Add in the fact that the US Government is running nearly $2 trillion budget deficits, sports a $11 trillion national debt, and has devalued its own currency by 30% in the last seven years; yet, it has the gall to demand a better business plan from a private corporation?

What can we do about it? First, we can protest at the Tea Party rallies. We need millions, not thousands. Our Constitution is under assault. Our economic foundation is under assault.

But more importantly, at the appropriate times, we can vote out every single politician who voted YES on the bailouts. Until we elect candidates who are unabashedly committed to limited government, a strict adherence to the Constitution, and free market capitalism, we will continue to witness these tyrannical actions. And make sure you take a look at their actual voting records. Talk is cheap. Actions always speak louder than words.
