100 Days Letter to the PresidentShare
Dear Mr. President,
I’ve decided that I’m not going to watch your news conference tonight, especially after your verbal assault on Tea Party protesters. I’m very upset, and saddened, that you would say things to belittle the average American citizen who is fed up with large deficits and government expansion. For a Conservative or even an Independent to stand up and protest anything is quite a statement; for you to be “unaware” is downright offensive.
In 100 days, we have gotten to know you and your policies. Today, you said you were proud of the progress you have made, but that you are not satisfied. I suppose not being satisfied because we aren’t fully socialist yet would be close to the truth, but that would be an assumption on my part. No, I’m not even close to satisfied. In fact, I am with approximately 44% of Americans who think you are steering this country in the wrong direction.
In 100 days, we have heard you say that you are “disappointed” that not one, not two, but four of your nominees have had tax troubles so major that they were forced to withdraw from the process entirely. We’ve seen you fly a plane, very low, over New York City and cause panic. You’ve bowed before a King (which no other President in history has done) and you’ve also apologized to our sworn enemies.
We’ve seen you play Robin Hood and tax the rich just to give it as entitlements to the poor. We’ve seen large corporations get more bailouts, and private citizens forced from their homes. AIG got millions in bonuses, I got $18.
I am now saturated in debt for the mistakes your generation and those before you have made. Now, your daughters and I (and other young people like us) will pay for the rest of our lives for the legislation you proposed in just 100 days.
We are getting to know you, President Obama. I’m looking forward to several more Tea Parties that are planned across the country. No, these aren’t partisan events, these are small groups of like minded individuals who don’t want to be saddled with debt, or see our individual liberties taken away. We support our veterans (and certainly don’t think of them as domestic terrorists) and we help those in need around us. I am proud of my country, but not those who are leading it. That includes Republicans (and former ones, like Arlen Specter) We are seeing the truth now, and the “chains” we can believe in. I just thought that the socialist creep would take a little longer than 100 days, but I still have “hope.”
Sincerely,
Jon Taylor

Copy of my letter, email, and fax to our President in response to his attack on the Tea Parties in his town hall address:
Mr. President
Why did you choose to personally attack me yesterday in your Town Hall Meeting?
- “So, you know, when you see — those of you who are watching certain news channels that — on which I’m not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we’re going to stabilize Social Security.” -
So here is the policy question.
Is it going to continue to be your policy to downgrade and insult people who happen to disagree with you. We saw it on the campaign trial with “Joe The Plumber” and now you have chosen to attack me as a participant in Tea Parties across this Nation.
I am ready to have a “serious conversation” with you about the tea parties, when you realize that the tea parties had nothing to do with you, health care, or social security.
The purpose of the Tea Parties is crystal clear…..Stop the over spending! Stop mortgaging our future! Stop planning our lives! Stop being the centralized government our forefathers warned us to guard against!
I eagerly await your response and will continue contacting you until I get a response!
Here is a man that has Accomplished so much that they are comparing to FDR.
The funny thing is is this whole tea party. In this country we have 12% of the population out of work (and if I hear one more time that there are jobs all over the place I will scream….because there are none). The entire economy was about to collaps and the Republican party just sat back and Laughed about it. People cannot afford Health Care and we are at the bottom list for the worst health care system in the world. The enviroment is crubling right in front of our eyes.
And all we hear is WHAAAA! I MAKE $300,000 A YEAR AND I AM GOING TO BE TAXED MORE SO IM GOING TO BUY A MILLION DOLLARS OF TEA AND SHOW THEM THAT WASTEFUL SPENDING IS NOT THE AWNSER. I mean how self absorbed can you be. People are living in shelters and camps raising there families because they lost there jobs and you guys are complaining that you cannot buy the Luxuary Jaguar and have to buy the base modle. We use to be a country of hard workers and now we are fat and lazy and sickly with no moral value towards anyone but themselves and there immediate family.
Good luck to you all. I hope you can recoup your entire losses. God bless america.
Mike,
Obama is being compared to FDR because he is an even bigger socialist than FDR was. Don’t forget that FDR gave us a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madoff — its called Social Security. Why would anyone need a job when unemployment benefits are being extended longer and longer? Why does anyone need a job when welfare benefits are available? US healthcare is no where near the bottom of the list of any group of nations. The USA has the best care in the world. Don’t forget that the universal coverage available in Canada and England offer you months and months of waiting for procedures while cancers grow, diabetes eats away your eyesight, lung disease spreads, etc… In Sweden, you are not even allowed to pay for care on your own in order to hurry the care along or to receive better care. That is simply not considered “fair”. You say that people that protest at tea parties are whining about being taxed so that they cannot buy their Jags. I say that I have been at protests with thousands of people, and they are far more concerned with the spending than anything. There is no logical argument for it. You cannot tax enough to ever pay it off. You cannot borrow enough to ever get the amount needed. You simply have to print more of it. When the Fed prints more and more money, you get inflation. Inflation is the real killer. It hurts everyone - rich, poor, educated, uneducated, socialist, capitalist, fascist… No one escapes its hunger to devour the purchasing power of whatever money you have to spend. If you think it is bad when people live in shelters in order to make it, just wait until they have to try to buy a loaf of bread for $5 instead of $1. It gets really hard to feed everyone when inflation makes everything cost more and more and more and more and more and more and more… You get the idea. Also, I am not sure why you consider it immoral to not like to have your money stolen. Charity is great if you enjoy being charitable. The moment the government takes from one group toi give to another group, it is no longer charity. At that point it becomes stealing by the use of force. We allow the government to do this with no consequences. How would you feel if I came into your residence and, at the point of a gun, took half of your stuff? I bet you wouldn’t much care who the ultimate recipient of your stuff was, you would just be unhappy that someone stole it from you at gunpoint.
I agree with the cause. I do. We are taxed an anormously to much in this country. But I never saw a tea party when we were spending $10 million a month on a war we shouldn’t of started. So over and over the good hard working American folks on this site can say this is not a conservitive movement but when Fox News supports it and everything on this site is anti-Obama then it hurts the cause.
I do need to reiderate on a couple of media misconsepetions that have been brought to the surface. A few years ago the conservitive movement created a nasty word…..Liberal. Those dirty liberals…They made it sound like every liberal was a dirty tree hugger that was anti-american. Its just not true most liberals care more about america than the conservitive movement.
The new word is SOCIALISM. Grrr booo.
Ok lets look at it for a moment. When your home catches on fire you call the fire department. This is funded by our tax dollars….Socialism. When you walk out to your mailbox every morning to get your mail right to your door that is paid for from tax dollars…thats socialism. When someone is breaking into your house and a police man come to help save the day….thats socialism. And when myself a middle class man making 60k a year is now debating on canceling my health insurance because I cannot afford to shell out hundreds a week to keep it and roll the dice. Thats scary. And It is all due to over taxing.
Now I have heard all the screaming on how these socialistic countries have to wait and wait to get health care…its just not true. I live in Michigan where we are a stone throw away from Canada. And every Canadian laughs at our health system. They do no waiting for procedures. This is another Conservitive lie to make people think that socialism is evil. Do I belive democracy is better than socialism….absolutly. Do I belive democracy is better than comunism ….. absolutly. But every idea have good and bad. The Klu Klux Klan is awful and and evil but do they make good points on certian subjects….of course. Do I think we should fight wars forcing other countries to spread democracy? No these are our belifes and if some other country has other belifs who are we to force them to have ours. Since about the 1950’s is when we here in America have lost our government and I agree with the cause of giving it back to the people and by force if need be.
If I were our president, I would fund a team of Police officers (pensil pushers) to do nothing but watch our government officials. Find corruptions and convict abuse. Pay the officials what we promised and anything more from tax dollars would be prosicuted. A very simple solution to the BIGGEST ISSUE IN OUR GOVERNMENT.
But right now with these time where people just cannot find work I do think extreem measures need to be taken. I do support your cause and hope all of your ventures put government spending to a hault. And I hope we bring back the America we lost so long ago.
