Tea Party Poll
People often ask, “What’s the point of the tea parties?” “What are you trying to accomplish?” “What are your goals?” To provide answers to these critical questions, perhaps it would be beneficial to create a basic poll. Here’s a list of potential objectives for Tea Party protestors. List your top five:
- Balance the federal budget
- Lower taxes across the board
- Increase state sovereignty in political, economic, and social issues
- Institute constitutional term limits in Congress
- Decrease federal spending
- Borrow less money from foreign powers such as China, Russia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, etc.
- Make Congress cite chapter & verse in the Constitution when passing bills
- End all federal bailouts
- Increase ballot access for Independent & Third Party candidates
- Increase the value of our Dollar
- Throw out every single candidate, regardless of party affiliation, who voted for any of the federal bailouts
- Increase transparency & accountability at the Federal Reserve
- Reform the entire tax code
- Elect Washington outsiders in upcoming elections
- Start paying down the national debt
- Throw out big government & big spending incumbents, regardless of party affiliation
- Make Congress read the bills before they actually vote
- Build the foundation for a new, third party
- Start running for political office ourselves
This list is by no means exhaustive, and there is some degree of overlap between the various categories, but it serves as a good starting point. What are your Tea Party’s top five objectives?

Might I suggest your write your own State Representatives and ask them to explain if they still oversee the judiciary or if they have traded it away. Whatever your objective is, it is half baked if it is not a return to a Constitutional Republic. Make your list to number into the tens of thousands and the one solution that solves them all is a return to a Constitutional Republic.
Now for some you may think that too simplistic but that is because you don’t know what it was our Founding Father created. So go do your homework and I am certain you will agree.
We have to stop beating around the bush. If we can legislate solutions they can later come along and legislate it back into a disaster. We have to stop legislating solutions and just enforce the nearly flawless one we were given.

I am amazed that parents have allowed schools to not even teach about our Constitution and our State Constitutions. To allow teachers to talk and teach out of liberal books that are not true and too allow God to be taken out of every thing and punish a child if a child wants to pray for a good test score or whatever is just plain old wrong.
This is appalling behavior and we have allowed this to happen to us. This has to be changed NOW before believers in God and non believers are having their heads chopped off for not bowing to Allah.
You think this is far fetched? Listen to the now Americans who have come here to find freedoms that are now seeing this country going the same way as the one they left. Not sure about you but I believe they know better than I.
In our efforts to protect our country and ourselves we have to continue the grass roots efforts of so many across the country and here is another one for you, I am working on organizing a “FREEDOM RALLY MARCH” September 12th where each person in their state marches on their own state capitol to let the state governments know we are not happy with their choices when voting for these bills in congress and in the senate that have not been read in their entirity and that over rides or takes away from our already Constitutional freedoms.
Most of these people are out of their minds with power and greed and it has to stop. I am not sure about you but my Senators are not anywhere near speaking for me or most of us in ILLINOS. Yes we have Durbin and Burris and I feel sometimes that my letters and calls are falling on deft ears. They do not care. It is all about supporting Obama and we as a state are being hung out to dry as so many others.
We have a small group organizing a TEA PARTY in Alton IL on the 25th of July at the Amphitheater in Alton, 5:30pm-8pm. Great site and can accommodate up to 4000 people sitting and much more room for people to bring lawn chairs. We even have restrooms for people. Ha. If you are anywhere in the area please join us. Yes it is about Pork Barrel spending, it is about Smaller Government and that is all things to stand on and carries a great message and has worked so far in getting the attention of politicians across the country but…does it end there?
Americans have a big battle in front of them for the next few years and all of the list above are right on but please remember every time there is a trade of a freedom for a service from our “government” we lose.
To add to the list which in going over all of them I did not see listed except in the reference to the Constitution:
Protect and stand by our Constitutional Freedoms of:
Speech
Our Right to own and buy guns and ammo
Our Right to vote (without ACORN getting in the mix)
And our right to demonstrate our dislike for what this or any government is doing to us as a nation and as a people. Remember it was not that long ago that women were dying in the streets or in hidden areas because they wanted to vote. Remember the civil rights marches that brought blacks to the freedoms any human deserves but also remember the libs of the time and now are working despartly to keep the same group down by encouraging them to do nothing but take from the governement and now they are doing the same thing with illegal aliens in an attempt to gain more power.
It is time to take this to each and every capitol building in the USA. It is time we take our local and state government back and in doing so we will affect what is happening on the Federal level.
Sooo…I am moving forward with the FREEDOM MARCH on Sept 12th and encourage everyone in each state to organize and take the steps to let your voices be heard on the state level. I hope that each TEA PARTY event announces this March for our freedoms. It is easier for people that are out of work and out of patience to participate in something like this then to go to Washington DC.

The government likes to try and scare us but you know what, that has to end as well. We should not be afraid. We are free for the time being so we better make sure it stays that way.
Keep up the good work Americans and know that we can win if we stand in the hundreds of millions. Iran is a perfect example of a fight for Democracy and we should have done as they are now in NOV when ACORN helped win this election by fraud and the President would not provide a real birth certificate or a list of where his money came from. The question is still there, what does he have to hide and if nothing then just do what is asked. Instead he is spending millions of dollars to fight the request. Why???

I’d like to see a return to the founding principles and virtues that the US was built upon. That includes honoring God, and His word, & displaying the Ten Commandments which are part of the basis for our legal system. Unfortunately, we are not currently a Christian nation, but we are not (and God forbid,) never will be a Muslim nation. That is one of the aspects of CHANGE Obama wants to bring to America. We must NEVER let that happen. No one needs to force their beliefs on others, but that is what we will face if Islam takes further root here. There will be no religious freedom in that case, and very little other freedom. It’s time for America to wake up & see the threats that are working against us.

Our goal is to build community awareness of our work and invite people to join our groups. We want to distribute pocket constitutions, hand outs for the tea parties volunteering, and other literature on the tea party as a movement.
Folks, we cannot wait for election year to stop the communism train. If you want to preserve what’s left of our freedoms, please come to the picnic, talk about it.
What we’ll provide: The rental of the facility, cold beverages, snacks, a grill-master and charcoal grills to cook your meats. What you need to bring: Left-overs from the 4th celebrations are fine. If you have no left-overs, please bring a vegetable dish, meat dish, or items that can be grilled if they serve 4-6 people per item there will be plenty.

Several major cities (like Columbus, Ohio)have changed their date to accomodate the wimps who can’t go on the 4th, because it will interfere with their holiday plans. Push for ballot initives, to make it an offense punishable with a minimum of one day in jail for every page that a representative or senator votes for that they did not in good contious read or have time to read.

5) Do not allow congressmen to vote on bills that have direct impact on thier district- this already violates all federal ethics laws
