Tea Parties, Community, and Kelly

With less than a week until the big Tea Parties, we hope you have all had the opportunity to organize yourselves, contact the media, and align speakers for what should be hundreds of fun filled and productive events on Saturday.

Everyday, our government hands us new pieces of legislation that increases our taxes, infringes on our constitutional rights, and sends our tax dollars to those that don’t deserve them.  Together, on July 4th, we stand up to say ENOUGH!

As the Democrats plan to put an out of control government in charge of our health care, and the Republicans stand up to…well…not really sure what they stand for anymore, let’s re-declare our independence together, and voice our respect, not for the possessors of power, but the principles of individual freedom and Liberty.

On a side note, many of you have received messages from a “Kelly”, looking for love.  Althought we encourage everyone to love one another, this is not a dating service site and spamming the members has resulted in us banning her from the site.  To all those interested in a relationship with her, we apologize, but you will have to communicate with her away from this site.

Good luck to everyone, and stay tuned as we are planning a redevelopment of the website to better organize, promote, and publicize all your hard work and activities.  The development will be launched in stages and we hope to unveil the begining in a few short months.  Thank you and continue the good, hard work.

I am glad to mention something about this Kelly. I did not get involved with this to find love. I have the love of a great family. It is for the love of my family that I did join in on this. I care enough to do something to protect them. I gave 22 yrs to them and this country in the Navy. I cannot do the military thing anymore, but I can still speak my piece.

We REP. must take back our rights. That our men fought for, Our Constitutional rights. Our Government has Seized all our rihts. And they will take a little at a time until they have total control. They want to tell you when you can blow dry your hair,What health care to use, where to set your air conditioner,Light bulbs to use.
And if you buy into there health and you don’t have any they will charge you 1000.00 dollars. Thats just the beginning, The money they spent on pork thats not shovel ready, And just put people back to work.
Obama LIED TO ALL AMERICANS. Is he going to tell his wife to stop strighten her hair,I THINK NOT. And he can aford to smoke. He needs to go back to the drawing board. We need less Government this is the Law of the Land.We need our Liberty BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

remember…obama is not getting our revenue by taxing us outright (yet) but we will be paying more for everything if his cap and trade bill goes thru…and within five years we will have to import oil because of that bill…no wonder he bowed to king of Saudi Arabia! Plus…we do not need federal employees coming into our homes to tell us whether we can sell them or not in their present condition! Get Big Brother out of our lives!

  7. “Get Big Brother out of our lives!”

Peaceful rallies are all well and good, and gathering of Americans to discuss and discover political resolve is heartwarming.

But do not treat lightly the words of our Fathers, after they too rallied in support of those brave words in the Declaration of Independence. It was barely a century ago that they lived, and spoke of horror to the unwilling - the horror of war.

For this is how war happens, how it is incited. Look into your conscience, and respect the words of our Fathers who also marched bravely into that which they did not understand.

The Fire-Breathers all melt away, when the battle gets serious. Study the leaders - who will stand with you when times get tough, and who will run?

Do not listen to those who are “invincible during peace, invisible during war.” They want you to do the suffering for THEM.

If you ever read the book “1984″ and saw the movie “Soylent Green” it is all coming true now. With obama and pelosi and reid in bed together we don’t have a chance. What we need now is a concerted effort to educate voters and get people like gettlefinger and the rest of the union bosses out of politics. These people get their pockets lined by politicians after they deliver the votes of the people that they TELL who to vote for. We need a news media that is not wiping the democrats butts every time they go and while I’m on the subject of democrats, stop calling them “democratic”, there is not one thing democratice about them, they are dictators pure and simple.

Conservatives are so hypocritical. While government is a big problem, the even bigger problem in this country is most corporations. A more symbolic protest would be for the TEA parties to be in front of every Wal-Mart in each town. That is where a lot of your tax dollars go. One individual employee with no kids cannot survive on Wal-Mart’s pay, yet they claim to be such a family oriented company. These same employees help them make their 10 billion dollar profits each year, and they cannot even pay enough for one individual employee to survive on alone. So while Wal-Mart pockets 10 billion in profits each year, the tax payers help their employees survive through social programs or “Socialism”. I thought Wal-Mart was a conservative company and was against Socialism. I guess it just depends on how it effects their bottom line. Would it be more Capitalistic for customers to pay a few cents more on every item to cover the true labor costs, or for shoppers to have money taken out of their paychecks for social programs. Wal-Mart is not the only one because there are a lot of other businesses who do the same thing. If you disagree with me on the being able to survive financially then DO THE MATH!!! So something has to give in regards to either having Socialism, or truly letting employees organize without fear of being fired illegally. Conservatives are against anything that helps the average person, or labor in this country.

E Dunn I agree. The reason we have a big budget is because Corporate Interests are running this Congress. Even when FDR wrote the New Deal, they pressured for lighter regs. We have a failed economy because Wall Street made everybody in WDC believe they would self-regulate derivatives and Wall Street. Oh YEAH! They got every 1930s security act repealed, and now we are in a worse mess than 1929!

And Congress went along with all of it for decades because of Campaign Finance. They know who butters their bread and pays to get them re-elected, or replaced.

And we went along with it too because of Buckley vs Valeo which lets Special Interests spend unlimited $$$ on political dis-info and propaganda, and buy unlimited political advertising to present their side only, and lots of emotional manipulation.

They used the tax-exempt university’s and economists to preach their line of ‘perfect-markets’, when in fact these human beings running these banks and corporations will always manipulate ‘perfect-markets’ and slant them to their own benefit, especially when they are ’self-regulated’. JOKE!

Look at the Fed Budget. The biggest chunk after Social Security and Medicare goes to Military Contractors, and just who profits from that? And Medicare goes to the AMA, PHRMA, all the hospitals in the country, and profits for insurance companies. Social Security gets paid out to food, packaged goods companies, and landlords.

We’ve got lots of problems, but nobody at any Tea Party is talking about the real reasons. Comparing one set of politicians to another is just plain dumb, when the system they were all trained to work-over, remains unchanged.

And, this is exactly what Congress, and their Corporate and Media cronies want us to do. Let off steam, vent and blame another set of politicians. They sure aren’t going to explain anything to us on TV about the way things really work in Washington. They just out do each other on both sides at the blame game.

Wake up America. Wake up Tea Parties! Use your brains, not your mouths!

Well Dunn I totally disagree with your rhetoric. Any of your liberal friends ever give you a job? I didn’t think so. How about Obama? No again eh? I have worked for multiple organizations however as they are the people that employ us.

Have you ever personally benefited when a corporation was destroyed by taxation? Again I didn’t think so, neither rave I. Those who have nothing have nothing to share. Really, it’s okay to educate yourself and earn an honest living and build a corporation. That’s exactly what made this country great. Time to party like it’s 17773 folks. Get out there and say no to socialism. It didn’t work for the USSR, it isn’t working for Cuba, and it wont work for us.

First of all I am not a Liberal, I am an Independent, and I definately do not want Socialism in this country. My degree is in history and I agree that Communism didn’t work in the USSR or Cuba, and will not work anywhere else. England, France, and Germany are surviving well with Socialism, but their freedoms are restricted. That is why I definately do not want Socialism either, and I am against a government run health care program. People are going to keep voting for democrats if conservatives keep supporting everything that hurts labor or the average person in this country. Most conservatives are against social programs, against labor unions, and for Free-Trade agreements that ship jobs oversees. Does nobody see that if we have U.S. corporations oversees then we lose much of our National Sovereignty. And Wal-Mart is the great example of how the “Trickle Down Theory” does not work. They trickle down so little to their employees that most cannot even take advantage of the health care that is offered. And those that want to join a union know that they will probably be fired illegally for supporting one. Labor in this country is going backwards, and that is the main reason why Obama won.

    You said:

“England, France, and Germany are surviving well with Socialism”

Socialism is exclusive and almost always ethnocentric. If you look at the UK, it is not surviving well at all with socialism. Now they have the BNP party, and they (the BNP) are no friends of captialism, or anyone who is now white. The UK also has a Conservative party that has been almost very quite the last couple of years. Until now, people are starting to wake up.

France is now moving back to the right, albeit slowely. But because of their government handouts, they attracted many foreingers and certain parts of the country police do not even patrol the streets. 100 cars burn every day in France…

Germany will completely over run with muslims in 2050. The Germant IM confirmed this not too long ago….What will happen in that country now? Considering its history.

I know I am taking what you said out of context a little and some of your points are sound. Howver, almost all of Europe social programs are painted under the illusion of false security and compromise freedom. (Which you acknowledge.)

Nothing in life is free, and Europe will eventually pay.

  14. I attended July 4th Tea Party in Columbia SC and it was a great event.

The event was organized by the SC Fair Tax folks, an organization and idea that I support.

I’d estimate there were around 2000k citizens rallying at the event. It was hot though, in the 90s, so there were a lot of people hugging the shade, rather than crowding around the front of the stage. You couldn’t stand there on the concrete in front of that stage for long but there were plenty of trees and they had a good PA so hearing wasn’t a problem. I found a good spot under a tree just to the left of the stage, with a clear view and a nice breeze blowing. I’m sure the crowd would have been larger if it were not for the heat and the fact that many people vacation and cook-out on the 4th.

I posted some pictures and a small video if anyone is interested.

To all Tea Parties and protesters: Adopt the COLOR RED as a symbol and wear it to raise visibility at protests and also to maintain constant visibility by wearing some item of RED every Friday. Helps make it more difficult for the “media” to ignore and ridicule.
