Maine Republican Party chairman Charlie Webster has admitted that the state party made numerous clerical errors in counting the state’s caucus results — even omitting some votes because emails reporting tallies “went to spam” in an email account.
However, Webster insisted that the errors did not change the outcome.
On Saturday, he had declared former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney the winner of Maine’s Presidential Preference Poll by fewer than 200 votes, even though not all municipalities had reported results.
“There were clerical errors that did not significantly change the numbers. There were several smaller towns that were left out, the reporting was wrong. … We’ve corrected those clerical errors and will send those numbers out [soon],” said Webster in an interview with POLITICO.
For example, in Portland, the state party’s results originally showed that Paul won by 15 votes when in reality Romney won by 15, he said.

Romney won. Get over it. He’s the only competent person of any party running for President this year.
Get over it? YOU get over it! Tolerating a banana republic is unacceptable! It is morally wrong, when people have put in hard work and their HARD-earned dollars into a campaign, only to be cheated by the likes of these GOP-operatives. What has happened to these people? It’s not enough they have the Wall Street and Federal Reserve big money behind them. No, it’s not enough they have had the enjoyment of the Bully Big Media touting their candidate behind them. No, they feel the need to cheat and of course, be SECRET about it. We need change in our voting system, or you can forget the little Charlie’s of the world, and what’s sad is that these local people who are pimping for the party system are going to be victims someday, just like the rest of us. It’s just too dang bad they can’t see the forest from the trees…..right now!
Before getting too carried away, learn something about Romney. He is the only person running who can grasp the federal government, squeeze the fat out of it and make it do what it is supposed to do. And, that is work for us.
Mitt Romney is one of the most qualified people to ever to run for the Presidency. He has a proven record of success. He is accomplished in the private sector, the public sector and with NGOs. He has mastered them all.
He created thousands of jobs as a venture capitalist CEO of Bain Capital creating businesses such as Staples Office Supply, Sealy Mattress Company and, yes, Domino Pizza Chain. He was successful in rebuilding the 2002 Winter Olympics from a disaster of international financial corruption and drug abuse into a clean organization that attracted sponsors. He got the Olympic Committee out of $100 million in debt to about $200 million in profits. He was successful in Massachusetts reducing the state’s unemployment rate from 5.6% to 4.5%, reducing the states $3 billion deficit and requiring people who could afford it to buy health insurance so they didn’t sponge off the state in Emergency rooms.
No other candidate for President is as well qualified as Mitt Romney. Especially not Obama who had no record at all before he ran in 2008.

Chairman Webster needs to resign. Email containing vote results went to spam? Inexcusable.
