We have also added some new social networking features to help you connect with other members such as the ability to make friends, a profile page, a wire (similar to facebook’s wall) with your activity and much more.

In the spirit of decentralization, we have set up this network to give activists all over the country the tools to manage YOUR own event coordination. We don’t want to tell you how to run your site, run your events, or run your Tea Parties.
All we ask is that we remain respectful of each other as individuals and true to the spirit of non-partisanship.
The Boston Tea Party was an act of direct protest by American Colonists demanding representation in the British Government. They became known as the original patriots.
America’s Tea Party of 2009 will reinvigorate that American and Patriotic spirit; one that demands respect for individual rights and property. As the bailouts spiral out of control, we are forced to fund failed banks. With foreclosures on the rise, we are made the collateral of reckless spending. And, when the bills come due, the IRS knocks on the door of “self-responsibility”.

We will need your support for our efforts opposing the various Propositions in the special election in CA on May 19, 2009. Please inform your California members that they need to cast their votes during the statewide special election. Tea Party Coalition members support a NO VOTE on Prop 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D. Join the Tea Party Coalition in fighting an extension on the recent increase in our Personal Income Tax, Vehicle License Fees, and Sales and Use tax. We need to bring awareness to the masses about the special May 19th election. This will be our opportunity to show our government officials that a grassroots effort can fight the $15M dollar propaganda campaign supported by the state legislators. We need to take our check book back, because they can’t seem to balance it.

I see that, in spite of the fact, this site asks that partisanship not be an issue and that people are asked to be respectful of other people in their posts, etc., the barbs are still there and the darts are still being thrown as to WHO,WHAT, WHY, WHEN, WHERE and HOW this nation of ours got into this mess in the first place. The whole purpose of the Tea Party concept is to unite, organize and stand together to DO SOMETHING to get it remedied! Partisan barbs and bickering won’t get the job done….if the TeaParty people resort to that, the will be no better than the powers-that-be in Washington, DC whose attention we are trying to GET in order to initiate CHANGE!!! Partisanship isn’t the issue here - we need to move away from that and deal with the REAL issues at hand. If the chicken came first, or the egg came first….the end result is, Colonel Sanders got rich, America loves fried chicken, and we still eat it as long as we can afford it! KEY WORD there isn’t “FIRST”….it is “AFFORD”! That is what we are dealing with here, people…problems which affect us all as a nation, NOT the pettiness of finger-pointing. The horse is out of the barn…no use in screaming about who left the door open….but that horse needs to be rounded up and put back in the stall before something tragic happens!!!

Vote against HR3200 (for house members)
No socialized health care
We want to pick our own doctors, health care programs, and medical treatment

Reform health care so the consumer (me the customer) can shop it with a code# for the best price

people need to remember that we are dealing with an entity that will not submit its power to the people it controls. every day i see so many things that are wrong with our government, and nation for that matter, that i don’t think will ever change, but i don’t lose hope. we all need to keep faith in each other and believe that we can unite this nation under the banner of freedom. i want to know why out government acts without a care for what its people think. i want to know why my opinions on the health care reform bill, the bailout plans, the war in the middle east, and other major concerns will fall on deaf ears. our government has slowly been taking control over us…we are a people who dont like change, even though we need it. i dont see anything changing in our government because we aren’t changing it. in essence we are merely complaing in a most annoying manner. we need a leader who will put his people before himself, who will die for his nation. we need a system that acts for the people. im not saying that the average joe should have power in this system, but his opinion needs to be heard and listened to. i dont see any of these things occuring anytime soon, but hopefully im wrong.
